I talked to Eaton and Odyne ages ago about this. Both of them blew me off for the same reason. They are at 100+% production capacity trying to keep up with orders for municipal buses, etc. and have NO interest in working with someone for a one-off or even small production run project.
Also, both of them require substantial alterations to the transmission and/or powerplant. What I kind of like about the EVP one is that it bolts on to the driveshaft and can be transferred to another vehicle in the future if you need to…
